I just finished watching Representative Wimmer of the Utah State Legislature on the Glenn Beck show explaining the recently organized Patrick Henry Caucus (http://www.apexconnex.com/tphc/default.aspx). He explained, as part of his drive to work hard, the thought of old age when his children will be left with what we have given them. The thought reminded me of Captain Moroni and his Title of Liberty (http://scriptures.lds.org/alma/46/1-37#1). A man by the name of Amalickiah had incited public officials to seek after further power over the people, threatening to destroy the very "foundation of liberty" which had been established. Such a threat is no different than what we see boiling in our nations capital today. Like Rep. Wimmer and the Patrick Henry Caucus, Moroni was moved to action, tore his coat and wrote upon it what Rep. Wimmer echoed on the Glen Beck show. "In memory of our God, our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children".
As we stand up against the waves of socialistic thought and policy, as we sacrifice our time, money, and talents to defend our rights, we too stand to remember our God, our religions, our freedom and peace, and our families, all of which we dearly love.
